Noah Boulton
Noah Boulton is a New York City based painter.
He received his BFA at Purchase College with a minor in Art History. He is currently on scholarship at The Art Students League of New York.
His recent abstract work approaches natural relationships, and universal constants. He is inspired by the interactions he sees around him, the degeneration of the past and its friction with a developing present, which he rephrases as color, gesture, and light.
Boulton’s use of line comes from a long infatuation with the philosophy of lines from old master painters. Having studied at the Art Students League previously in 2018 and 2019 with Max Ginsberg and Leonid Gervits, he became introduced to the contemporary world of portrait and figurative illustrators.
